Explore Guna While Staying At Hotel Raj Villas

Guna is a small district of Madhya Pradesh which is situated at the bank of Parbati River and is divided into 5 tehsils named- Raghogadh, Chanchora, Aron, bamori and Guna. Despite of having a strong connection with Magadha Empire and the Gwalior kingdom, Guna has not gain much recognition in the state. But, to everyone’s surprise, the city has in store many places of religious and historical relevance like-

  • Bajrangarh Fort: Constructed around 17th century, this fort is also known as Jharkon by the local people. Located at a short distance of 8 Kms in south-west of the city, the fort consists of an ancient temple, a step-well, rang Mahal, Moti Mahal and a gunnery which altogether makes this place more real and adorable.

  • Jain Temple: This Jain Temple is said to be constructed in 12th century and is highly visited and cherished by the Jain community. This temple consists of statues of great Jain Tirthankars and comes under the Bajrangarh area itself. It also consists of beautiful stone carvings and sculptures that attract people at large.

  • Bishbhuji Temple: This Temple is located atop a small hill and has a “Stambh” which is visible from a distance. The Temple boasts of having a huge idol of Goddess Durga with twenty hands. A devotional for the worshippers of Goddess Durga, this temple also hosts annual fairs on the occasion of Durga-Ashtami.

Next time when you visit this city, make sure you don’t miss on visiting these beautiful and spiritual sights. To take care of the rest, Hotel Raj Villas one of the best hotels in Guna, is always at your service to make your stay at Guna more comfortable and memorable.
